What is thingz (formerly Likepost)?

thingz is made by Likepost Inc. The app launched on the App Store in October 2025 as Likepost and was renamed thingz in its September 18, 2026 update (“Likepost is now thingz!”). It is listed in the App Store’s Social Networking category and runs on iPhone (iOS 18 or later) and Android.

You save places, products, videos, links, and ideas from the apps you use, and thingz sorts them into searchable collections and adds details like addresses, hours, ingredients, and where to buy. Since February 2026 the app has been built around its social side: adding friends, commenting, marking posts as recommended or want to try, a feed of friends’ activity, public curated collections, and Your Loop, which suggests picks from your saves and your friends’ saves based on where you are.

What thingz does well

thingz is good at the social part of saving. Asking Your Loop for dinner tonight and getting answers from what your friends actually tried is a clever idea, and marking a place as “recommend” or “want to try” gives a save more meaning than a bookmark.

Our view is simply that most saves are personal before they are social. A jacket you are waiting to go on sale, a recipe for Sunday, a clinic a friend mentioned: you want those organized and ready for you, not posted.

A personal library, not a social network

thingz lists itself under Social Networking, and its updates since February 2026 have been about friends, comments, public collections, and posting recommendations. Sorti is a lifestyle app for your own saves. Nothing you save is posted unless you choose to share a folder, and there is no feed to keep up with.

Price-drop and back-in-stock alerts

thingz adds where to buy a product when you save it. Its App Store listing and release notes do not describe alerts when that price changes. Sorti watches every product you save and sends a push notification when the price drops, and it can also tell you when an item is back in stock.

Categories and sub-categories, built for you

thingz sorts saves into collections. Sorti builds categories and the sub-categories inside them on its own, so a recipe lands in Recipes and in the right sub-category inside it, without you setting anything up.
