What is Captr?

Captr (listed as Captr・Screenshot Organizer, by Aza IQ, Inc.) uses AI to read every screenshot, file it into lists, and turn it into an action: add a date to your calendar, set a reminder, jump back to the original post, buy a product, or get directions. It also cleans up duplicate screenshots, finds outfits across your saves, and keeps a shopping wishlist.

Recent versions added a lot. In late August and September 2026 Captr added a Shop view that shows a saved product’s price, the store, and similar items; prices that refresh on their own; a Sources page to bring in saves from other apps, with social library imports; organizing anything you share into Captr; Home Screen widgets; and a redesigned Today feed with Cook, Go out, and Shop tabs.

As of September 2026, Captr runs on Apple devices only: iPhone and iPad (iOS 17.6 or later), Apple silicon Macs, and Vision Pro. It is free to download and sells a paid “Individual” plan as an in-app purchase. There is no Android version.

What Captr does well

Credit where it is due: Captr ships fast and its polish shows. The calendar and reminder actions are well thought out, the daily feed is a nice way to resurface screenshots, and if everything you care about already lives in your camera roll on an iPhone, Captr is a legitimate choice.

Where Sorti pulls ahead is everything that happens after the save: being told when something changes, sharing with the people you plan with, and a library that organizes itself. That is the part Captr has not built.

Where Sorti still leads

1. Alerts, not just prices

Captr now shows the price of a saved product and refreshes it automatically. But its App Store listing does not describe any alert when that price moves, so you only find out if you open the app and look. Sorti watches every product you save and sends a push notification the moment the price drops. It can also tell you when an item is back in stock. A save you were not ready to buy becomes a better deal later, without you checking.

2. Shared folders, on any phone

Sorti supports shared folders with role-based access: invite friends or family as viewers or editors, and everything stays synced in real time. Because Sorti runs on iPhone and Android, the whole group can join, whatever phone they carry. Captr’s App Store listing does not describe shared collections, and it has no Android app, so a trip plan or group wishlist stays on one person’s iPhone.

3. Categories it builds, not lists you approve

Captr files screenshots into lists, but new lists arrive as suggestions: its September 2026 release notes describe suggested lists that you open to accept or decline, and AI collections can be switched on or off. Sorti builds categories and the sub-categories inside them on its own, so a recipe lands in Recipes and in the right sub-category inside it, without you approving anything.

4. Built for the share button from day one

Captr is still a screenshot organizer first: its name, its setup, and most of its features start from the camera roll, and sharing into the app arrived in September 2026.
